How it all begun
It was during the COVID-19 pandemic that I rediscovered my passion for illustration. I started using watercolor pencils and pigment ink pen. I found myself observing my partner's movements and felt that every particular moment is as important as the next. I loved how the colors came out on paper, more so, the expression of the body; not so much the face. In one particular illustration I have drawn the face as a celebration to my partner. I particularly observe how the body moves and how the light reflects. The body is important and not the environment in which it is surrounded hence the colorless surroundings in most of my illustrations.
I particularly like to show the beauty of the female form in its natural state, irrespective of proportions . I love the curves and the richness of it. It's like looking at a landscape full of trees, bushes, flowers and shrubs. Unpredictable. Through my work, I want to convey female dynamism and sensualism. Women have what it takes to stand up and speak their truth hence the illustration "I don't need them to have them".
