This series began as an open-ended exploration, guided by a simple rule: draw for at least 20 minutes every day. I used a photograph for the first watercolor, but as the piece evolved, I found myself relying less on the reference and more on memory. As I worked, the process became more mindful and the art itself grew freer. The figure simplified, becoming bolder and more essential—transforming from a woman, to a figure, to, simply, a being.
I made the frame for each of the watercolors.
